ART 4430 - Community Art Project

(1) Opportunity for art education students to utilize studio and pedagogical knowledge and skills to design and implement collaborative, interdisciplinary, comprehensive community art-based learning opportunities for urban youth. Includes 20 hours of field experience. Students submit a process portfolio documenting their experiences. Repeatable May be repeated for a maximum of 3 hours credit. PREREQUISITE: Art Education major and permission of instructor. Students may be required to obtain a background check at students’ expense. Must be admitted to Teacher Education Program (TEP).
