MATH 4686 - Statistical Learning II Credit Hours: (3) Description: Statistical foundations of computer-based tools used in the modeling and analysis of big data. Emphasis is on application of Bayesian methods to real data sets. Topics include cross-validation, Bayesian inference and computation, non-parametric methods, and ethical aspects of statistical learning. PREREQUISITE: MATH 4685 with a minimum grade of C-, or permission of the instructor.
