Credit Hours: (3) Description: Introduction to statistical literacy focusing on understanding such concepts as: sample surveys, observational studies, and experiments; methods of sampling; measures of central tendency and variation; graphical representations of data; basic concepts of probability; the normal distribution; basic principles of hypothesis testing; p-values; and correlation vs causation.
