Description: This course is designed to introduce students to the history of modern France since 1815, tracing the histories of politics, culture, society, and values up to the present day. Topics include the Bourbon Restoration, the 1848 Revolution, the Belle Époque, the era of the Two World Wars, the French Empire, Decolonization and Multicultural France.
