Description Cognitive Science. Integrates bottom-up empirical research with top-down modeling to explain how information is processed in the brain at multiple levels, ranging from ion channels to neural circuits to behavior. Examples include basic neuroanatomy, neuroplasticity, motor control, perception, and higher-order cognition.
