AUSP 8209 - Dysphagia/Related Disor

Credit Hours: (3)
Description Anatomy and physiology of normal deglutition; nature and characteristics of swallowing disorders; methods of evaluation and management of dysphagia in adults and children; and consideration of medical conditions such as aspiration pneumonia, tracheostomy, and other complicating factors associated with dysphagia. PREREQUISITE(S): AUSP 7003 /AUSP 8003  and AUSP 7010 /AUSP 8010  or permission of instructor.
