Description This course introduces and applies concepts of informatics and information systems in healthcare. This course covers the basics of health information systems management, federal regulations pertinent to health information, and technology standards and security. It also covers the complexities associated with planning the acquisition, implementation, utilization, and support of health information systems. May be repeated for maximum of 6 credits
