MATH 7384 - Concepts of Calculus 2

Description
Study of the conceptual underpinnings of integral calculus of one real variable.  Topics of study include series, Riemann and Riemann-Stieltjes Integration, the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, applications of integration, and techniques of integration, including substitution, integration by parts, and partial fraction decomposition.  Formal proofs of important theorems are discussed with special emphasis on how to adapt the material to the intended audience.
PREREQUISITE(S): Departmental Permit required.
