Description (MMCS 6512). (Same as CHEM 6512). Continuation of BIOL 6511; chemistry of lipids; metabolism, membrane formation and function in cell signaling mechanisms and sensory transduction; chemistry of nucleotides, DNA and RNA; mechanisms of information storage and transmission; advanced treatment of enzyme kinetics. Three lecture hours per week. PREREQUISITE(S): BIOL 6511 or CHEM 6511 with at least C-. Cross listing (Same as CHEM 6512)
