BIOL 7030 - Stem Cells: Culture/Appl Credit Hours: (3) Former: (BIOM 7030-8030) Description (BIOM 7030-8030) This course contains both theoretical and application based approaches to pluripotent, fetal and adult stem cells. Related topics include stemness, potency, differentiation, regenerative medicine, induced pluripotent stem cells, cancer stem cells, and the ethics of stem cell research. This course will survey modern methods for isolation, culture, and application of stem cells in research and medicine. Three lecture hours per week. Three lecture hours per week. PREREQUISITE(S): Permission of the instructor.
