CERI 7270 - Earthquake Source Physics Credit Hours: (3) Description Develops the tools for quantitative study of earthquakes and faulting. Covers kinematic moment tensor and finite fault representations of earthquakes, elastodynamics including common models for friction and fracture, and earthquake ground motions in the near source region. PREREQUISITE(S): partial differential equations and a basic background in numerical methods.
