Description Mechanics of fluid migration through the upper crust in the context of geothermal activity, volcanoes, faults and earthquakes. Covers porous media, Darcy flow, poroelastic effects, earthquake friction, stress distributions, volcano deformation, fault formation and evolution, geothermal reservoirs and induced seismicity. PREREQUISITE(S): permission of the instructor. Standard Letter
