Description (GEOG 6515; same as PLAN 6515). Introduction to theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental GIS concept, capabilities, and applications with emphasis on nature of geographic data and issues of data input, data models, database design,spatial analysis, and data output using ArcGIS software.Three lecture, two laboratory hours per week.
