EECE 7234 - VLSI Design Credit Hours: (3) Description This course teaches electronic IC design techniques for VLSI systems. Topics include fabrication process, design considerations and methodologies, fundamental structure, design flow, tools and techniques, design analysis and optimization, and stick diagram. Topics also include design rule checking (DRL), layout versus schematic (LVS), design synthesis and chip planning, clock tree and power routing, advanced high-speed and low-power CMOS design, asynchronous and adiabatic logic. PREREQUISITE(S): 3000-level creative writing workshop in the same genre (fiction, poetry, or creative non-fiction), and permission of instructor.
