Description Social entrepreneurship is a rapidly developing field in which entrepreneurs pursue innovative solutions to social problems. Social entrepreneurs assume a mission to create and sustain social value and impact. They draw upon fields of thought in both the business and nonprofit worlds and apply an entrepreneurial lens to create innovative and sustainable social enterprises. As the traditional lines blur between nonprofits, business and government, it is critical for students to understand the opportunities, challenges and obstacles in this new environment.
