PUBH 7501 - Health Systems Organizations

Description This course focuses on issues that contribute to assessing and improving the quality of health systems and services, including: institutional reforms and capacity building, politics and governance, health system financing, public/private partnerships, and building community capacity. The course will emphasize how problems come to be recognized and defined, their characteristics and magnitude, and plans and programs to alleviate them. Students will be taught to understand health system characteristics, problems, policies and management and to champion solutions to structural and behavioral challenges in the health care system.
