SPED 7001 - Educational Assessment in Inclusive Settings **

Description This course focuses on assessments used among Early Childhood and PK-12 students with dis/abilities. The course uses asset-based classroom pedagogies in inclusive settings. Students will examine the history of assessment in the U.S. education system and explore how it has changed. Teacher Candidates will learn how to use and apply common assessments when writing and monitoring IEPs and diagnostic achievement testing (as related to instructional planning). Clinical Experience: Four days in a special education setting. PREREQUISITE(S): SPED 7000 PREREQUISITE(S) or COREQUISITE(S): SPED 7000 or the permission of the instructor.
