Description Theory and practical application of commonly-performed laboratory techniques used in health science research. Techniques consist of phlebotomy, biological sample handling and processing, solution preparation and distribution, use of animals and human subjects in research, dissections, protein analysis, nucleic acid analysis, tissue culture, and cell staining. Lecture contact hours: 2 per week; Laboratory contact hours: 2 per week Grades of S/U, or I will be given.
