PUBH 8460 - Advanced Survival Analysis Credit Hours: 3 Description This is the second course in survival analysis for public health research. It is intended for advanced students in public health pursuing a career in the area of public health and who are interested in gaining expertise in advanced methods for survival data or time to event data. As survival models are used throughout medical and public health related fields, we will focus on applications and methodologies beyond the scope of Applied Survival Analysis (PUBH 7/8309) and emphasis on data analysis, interpretations, and the underlying statistical theory. You will be introduced to statistical modeling techniques commonly used in public heath as well as analysis procedures using SAS software. PREREQUISITE(S): PUBH 7-8309 (Applied Survival Analysis) or equivalent. Students outside of UoM’s Public Health program are welcome but must obtain permission from the course instructor.
