Description This course will have a seminar/discussion group format. Discussions will be based on material from the texts, outside reading assignments, and relevant issues that arise in lectures. The discussion portions of the course place primary responsibility on each student to be interactive with the instructor and peers, to critically read and reflect upon assigned reading material, to raise questions and constructively discuss issues relevant to the readings, and to discern differences between one’s knowledge and one’s beliefs. PREREQUISITE(S): Doctoral level major in Counseling Psychology or Counselor Education and Permission of Instructor; a Masters level course in Theories Standard Letter
