PUBH 6131 - Social Justice & Public Health

Description This course introduces students to the concept of social justice as a public health construct. We will explore barriers to disease prevention opportunities, health care, and other impactors of health that are not equally distributed. We will examine methods for creating equal opportunities that improve population health. We also will examine the role of public health practitioners in implementing social justice principles in order to improve health outcomes. Minimum Grade of B-
