BIOM 6340 - Manufacturing Processes Credit Hours: 3 Description Course is an introduction to manufacturing processes: fundamentals of mechanical behavior of materials, manufacturing properties of materials; casting, bulk deformation, sheet metal forming, material removal processes; processing of polymers, ceramics and glasses, composite materials; powder metallurgy; fastening and joining processes; nontraditional manufacturing processes; economics of integrated design and manufacturing; recent developments in manufacturing.
