ARTH 2000 - Introduction to Egyptology

(3) This course will provide a general introduction to the academic discipline of Egyptology and an overview of the culture of ancient Egypt itself. Students will broaden their cultural perspective on the ancient world through an understanding of the major artistic, religious, and textual developments in Egypt, with select discussion of their influence on contemporary and later cultures.
