PSYC 8435 - Intro To Psychotherapy(1-3) Required for all clinical students. Surveys major traditions of psychotherapy - psychodynamic, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral, and systemic - considering originators’ works as well as contemporary exponents; includes didactic (reading, discussion) and experiential learning (exercises, role plays) to promote both conceptual and practical acquaintance with the implications of each tradition. Students can enroll in this course for 3 hours and then repeat once for 1 hour. Restricted by Program or by Permit.
