(3) Concepts and techniques to develop and improve prevention initiatives and health services and access to care, such as medical narrative, needs assessment, health program evaluation, health marketing, and cultural competency. Emphasis is placed on engagement and collaboration, and on applied medical anthropology’s influence on policies, programs, and services that advance community wellbeing and reverse health disparities. PREREQUISITE(S): Non-majors must have permission of instructor.
