Admission

Admission to the program will be based on competitive selection from the pool of applicants

Complete admission to The University of Memphis and the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences
Have a minimum score of (250 computer based or 100 Internet based) on the TOEFL (for students for whom English is a second language).
A minimum of a BS/BA in a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 point scale.

Program Requirements

Prerequisites:

EDPR 7541 - Stat Meth App Ed I ** Credit Hours: (3) or equivalent
EDPR 8541 - Stat Meth App Ed I ** Credit Hours: (3) or equivalent
EDPR 7521 - Introduction to Research Design and Methodology ** Credit Hours: (3) or equivalent

Participants complete 15 credits hours of graduate work. Six (6) credits are obtained from completing:

EDPR 7542 - Statistical Methods Applied to Education II Credit Hours: (3)
EDPR 8542 - Statistical Methods Applied to Education II Credit Hours: (3)
EDPR 7511 - Intro Ed and Psych Measurement ** Credit Hours: 3
EDPR 8511 - Intro Ed and Psych Measurement ** Credit Hours: 3

And nine (9) credits are selected from:

EDPR 8549 - Multivariate Methods Credit Hours: (3)
EDPR 8544 - SEM in EDU/Behav Research Credit Hours: (3)
EDPR 7531 - Intro Modern Stat Packages Credit Hours: 3
EDPR 8531 - Intro Modern Stat Packages Credit Hours: 3

Progression/Retention

All students in the certification program must maintain a 3.0 graduate GPA.
A cumulative graduate GPA of 3.0 or better is required for certification.
All courses towards certification must be completed within 3 years.
