Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems play a pivotal role in almost all sectors, such as healthcare, transportation, defense, education, and so on. The objective of this certificate program is to ensure that our workforce is equipped with up-to-date knowledge and skills in engineering AI systems. This program is specifically tailored to produce graduates with specialized knowledge and expertise, ensuring they can make substantial contributions to the evolving applications of AI in industry and academia.

Admission Standards and Procedures

Same as College and University requirements for a MS degree.

Program Requirements

Completion of 12 semester hours chosen from four of the following courses of which at least 6 semester hours should be at the 7000-level:

EECE 6720 - Intro Artificial Intelg Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 6731 - Data Analytics and Visualization Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 6741 - Introduction to Neural Networks and Deep Learning Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 6745 - Introduction to Machine Learning Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 7216 - Computer Vision Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 7219 - Pattern Recognition Credit Hours: 3
EECE 7220 - Scientific Computing Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 7269 - Machine Learning & Applicatns Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 7720 - Artificial Intelligence Credit Hours: (3)
EECE 7740 - Neural Networks Credit Hours: (3)

Graduation Requirements

The student must complete required courses with an average grade of B (3.0) or higher, for a total of 12 credit hours

In the semester of graduation, the student must submit an “Apply to Graduate” form to the Graduate School and a Graduate Certificate Candidacy form to the College Director of Graduate Studies by the deadline specified by the Graduate School.
