The Creative Arts Technologies Minor aims to equip students with the ability to integrate creative thinking and technical proficiency in the production of innovative, culturally relevant work. Through hands-on, project-based learning, students gain practical experience with contemporary tools and workflows across areas such as digital fabrication, motion graphics, sound design, interaction design, and immersive media. The program encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and experimentation, fostering an environment where students can explore the relationships between art, design, and emerging technologies. Emphasis is placed on critical inquiry, iterative making, and conceptual development, helping students understand how technology shapes creative expression and contemporary cultural production. By developing both creative and technical competencies, students strengthen their capacity for problem solving, innovation, and professional adaptability. The minor also prepares students to apply these skills within their own disciplines, whether in the arts, STEM, communication, entrepreneurship, or business, enhancing their readiness for careers in innovation-driven industries or entrepreneurial ventures that bridge technology and creativity.
