PSYC 8416 - Child Psychopathology

Description A survey of the major theoretical formulations of childhood disorders, including learning, developmental, psychoanalytic, and family systems theories. Organic, familial, and sociocultural influences are discussed. Emphasis is placed on basic research that contributes to our understanding of these difficulties. Traditional approaches to intervention are reviewed along with family treatment.
