Description Development of warfare from 2000 BCE to 1200 CE, from Bronze Age to Mongol conquests; emphasis on Greek and Roman warfare; tactics, methods, strategies; theories of war and their historical development; attention to relationships between cultures, technology, influence of culture on war and war on society.
