Description: Asymptotic approximations, boundary layers, matched asymptotic expansions, multiple scales, geometric optics approximation (WKB), homogenization, application to differential equations. Prerequisite(s): MATH 2110  with a minimum grade of C- and MATH 2120  with a minimum grade of C-.
