MUAP 4260 - ST: World Percussion I - Steel Pan and Central American Marimba

Description: This course will expose students to the melodic percussion music of the Western Hemisphere, including the marimba of Mexico and Central America and the steel pan ensembles of Trinidad and Tobago. Students will gain hands-on experience through rehearsals and performances, culminating in a concert at the end of the spring semester. No music reading skills are required for this class. Prerequisite(s): Permission of the instructor
