The course emphasizes the practical design and deployment of AI-driven analytics tools (e.g. SAS Viya and SAS Visual Analytics) to address real-world challenges across industries and communities. By integrating principles of business analytics and applied artificial intelligence, students will engage with intelligent systems that foster innovation in sectors such as supply chain, healthcare, sports, creative arts, government, customer experience, digital commerce, and green energy.
Through hands-on projects, community engagement, and collaboration with regional partners, students will produce measurable impacts while strengthening their technical expertise and career readiness. The course is designed to prepare future leaders to advance economic development and innovation across diverse industries.
Prerequisite(s): Students should have a foundational understanding of business statistics terms and concepts. Completing MIS 7620, Business Machine Learning I, is strongly recommended for MSIS students.
