Program objectives of the EdD in Leadership and Policy Studies (LDPS) include the (1) development of skills in K-12 policy research and implementation; (2) development of research skills relevant to data analysis (qualitative and quantitative) and the relationship of data to organizational effectiveness; and (3) garner knowledge and understanding within a concentration area (policy studies).

Program Admission
Each applicant must submit a completed application to the University Graduate School that includes:
- Official transcripts for all prior undergraduate and graduate courses.
- Letter of application inclusive of a brief statement of professional goals
- Professional resume
- Three letters of professional recommendation on letterhead
- A personal interview will be scheduled with each applicant. An admission decision will be made following the personal interview. The decision will be based on a holistic profile that includes information contained in the completed application packet described above and obtained during the personal interview. Interested applicants are encouraged contact the departmental office to obtain more information about the LDPS program
- Deadline for submission of all application material is April 1 for the fall semester, and November 1 for the spring semester.

NOTE:
Doctoral programs are not intended for basic school administrative certification. Students wishing certification through this program must complete additional course work detailed in the K-12 Educational Leadership Certificate.
