Ensemble Requirement
All Music majors must take between six and eight semesters of ensemble, depending on the concentration (Music Therapy 6, Music Education Instrumental and Choral 7, all others 8). The specific requirements for this are determined by each division and degree program. Please consult with your adviser for the specific outline for your applied area and degree program exceptions. Music Education Instrumental students must take two semesters of Marching Band (string players exempt) and one semester of University Singers, Chamber Choir, Mazi or Tigerchor as part of their ensemble requirement.
Jazz and Studio Performance
NOTE: Jazz vocal students take MUHL 4016 instead of MUTC 3827.
Electives (0 - 8 hours)
Completion of elective courses to bring the total to a minimum of 120 semester hours (124 to 125 for students in the Music Education concentration depending on emphasis). Courses will be chosen by the students in consultation with the advisor and major professor.
