Human Resource Management, (B.B.A.)

Students pursuing a Human Resource Management major seek to work in a profession that provides strategic talent management and workforce planning for industries of all types. The Human Resource Management major will provide students with skills required for successful careers as human resource generalists and specialists. Students in this major prepare for human resource management careers through basic and advanced human resource management covering topics such as talent management and talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management and appraisal, compensation and total reward systems, employee well-being, and employment law compliance.

University General Education Program (41 hours)


See University General Education Program  for the University General Education Program requirements. Note that MATH 1710 MATH 1830 , MATH 1421 , or MATH 1910  (Mathematics requirement) with a minimum grade of “C”, ECON 2010  and ECON 2020  (Social/Behavioral Sciences requirement) are specified for the B.B.A. degree.

Lower Division Business Core


No grade below “C” and a minimum of 2.25 GPA in the major.  For Accounting majors, no grade below “C -” and a minimum of 2.5 GPA in the major. 

Upper Division Business Core


No grade below “C-” and a 2.00 GPA in the following Upper Division Business Core:
