ANTH 4416 - Culture/Identity/Power Credit Hours: (3) Description: Anthropological approaches to human identity in cross-cultural contexts. Examines how culture and power inform understandings and practices related to difference and stratification, and the forces of identity formation and reproduction cross-culturally with emphasis on ways that race, ethnicity, class, gender, sexuality, religion, nation, and community are constructed, negotiated, and resisted. PREREQUISITE: ANTH 1200 , or permission of instructor.
