PHYS 4510 - Thermal and Statistical Physics

Credit Hours: (3)
Description: Introduction to thermodynamics and statistical mechanics, includes topics such as temperature, work, heat, entropy, thermodynamic potentials, ideal gases, phase transitions, classical and quantum ensembles, and partition functions. PREREQUISITE: PHYS 2120  and PHYS 3011 .
