Credit Hours: (3) Former: (HIST 4321) Description: Surveys the histories of the major political and cultural groups of the eastern Mediterranean, Anatolia, Mesopotamia, Persia, and the Arabian Peninsula. A special focus on cultural diversity of the ancient Near East will be evident through an examination of the archaeological and textual material from which history is written.
