Credit Hours: (3) Description: Examination of African American literary tradition from the Harlem Renaissance to the present; Chicago writers, integrationist aesthetics of the 1950’s; black aesthetics of the 1960’s. PREREQUISITE: ENGL 1010, 1020, and 2201 or 2202 with a “C-” or better, or their equivalent.
