PHYS 3010 - Modern Physics

Description: Special relativity; experimental origin of quantum theory; atomic structure and spectral lines; matter-wave duality; Schrodinger equation; particle in a rigid box; electron spin; structure of atomic nuclei; radioactivity and nuclear reactions. PREREQUISITE: PHYS 2120   COREQUISITE: MATH 2110  or MATH 2422
