MATH 4050 - Foundations of Geometry and Trigonometry

(3) Pedagogical content knowledge for the teaching of plane geometry, trigonometry, polar coordinates, complex numbers, Euler’s Identity, conic sections, hyperbolic trigonometry, and the relationship between these. Emphasis on using technology for visualization. Knowledge of common misconceptions. Credit earned for this course may not be applied toward requirements for the Mathematical Sciences major. PREREQUISITE: Department Permit Required.
