Program objectives for a B.A. in Anthropology are that students will: (a) demonstrate knowledge of the holistic foundations of anthropology, and core subfields of cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, archaeology, and linguistics; (b) demonstrate critical analysis and independent thought in relation to core constructs, theories, and methods in anthropological works; (c) demonstrate effective written communication skills; and (d) experience and appreciate anthropology’s real world applications through enriched learning opportunities such as community-based research, service learning, internships, and study-abroad programs.
