Integrative Studies, Youth Development Concentration (B.S.Ed.)

The Youth Development concentration prepares students to impact youth in the Memphis Community through non-profit organizations. The skills and competencies developed occur through course work and internships/practicum experiences. The focus includes diversity, equity, inclusion and advocacy.

Major Field Core (23 credit hours)


Students choosing to major in Integrative Studies with a Concentration in Youth Development are required to complete twenty-three (23) credit hours in the Major Field Core (in addition to the concentration courses)

Note:


38 Credit Hours are required for the Integrative Studies Major with a Concentration in Youth Development.

Guided Electives (18 hours)


Students should work with advisors to select elective courses that support the learning outcomes of the concentration. The following courses are recommended:
