The minor in journalism introduces students to the skills and tools of the field of journalism. Its core focuses on foundational journalism skills while its electives allow students to specialize in a specific area of journalism.

Students in Advertising, Integrated Social Media, and Public Relations can satisfy the requirements of the journalism minor with JOUR 3120 or 3629, JOUR 3526 and 3 hours of any other 4000-level JOUR course listed here in addition to the shared Journalism and Strategic Media core of JRSM 1750, 2121, and 4700.

Students majoring in journalism are not eligible for the journalism minor.
