The Music Industry Minor can be added to any major course of study at the University of Memphis. Students wishing to declare a minor in Music Industry must do so via the School of Music application. The minor consists of 18 credits, and is structured to allow students the opportunity to pursue interests in Recording Technology and Music Business. Students pursuing a Music Industry minor could be required to complete course-specific pre-requisites; for example, MATH 1830 and TECH 1811 prerequisites for MUID 3800.
