Graphic Design Minor

A graphic design minor gives students a multifaceted skill foundation that translates into different fields and kinds of work. Students are introduced to typography, problem solving, history, theory and application of graphic desgn. The graphic design minor provides an integrated introduction of the basics that is enhanced by challenging projects and traditional design courses.

After graduating with a minor in graphic design, students wil appreciate the role that design plays in everyday life and will explore their own design interests in the field they choose to build a career. Students will understand the interdisciplinary nature of the design process and how to successfully work with a range of professions including, but not limited to advertising, public relations communications, architecture and marketing.
