BIOL 4051 - Marine Ecology

Description: This course is taught only at the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory, Ocean Springs, Mississippi. University of Memphis residence credit is given through affiliation with the Laboratory. Relationship of marine organisms to environment includes effects of temperature, salinity, light, nutrient concentration, currents, food, predation and competition on the abundance and distribution of marine organisms. PREREQUISITE: 16 hours of biology including general zoology, general botany, and invertebrate zoology.
