Description: Evolution and classification of flowering plants, Angiosperms; diversity of flowering plants on worldwide basis; relationship of major flowering plant families; systems of classification, nomenclature, field collecting techniques, preparation of specimens, family characteristics. Laboratories include practical aspects of flowering plant classification and identification. Three lecture hours and three laboratory hours per week. PREREQUISITE: BIOL 1120 and BIOL 1121, or BIOL 3200, or permission of instructor.
