Description: Continuation of CHEM 4511; chemistry of lipids; metabolism, membrane formation and function in cell signaling mechanisms and sensory transduction; chemistry of nucleotides DNA and RNA; mechanisms of information storage and transmission; advanced treatment of enzyme kinetics. Three lecture hours per week. PREREQUISITE: BIOL 4511 or CHEM 4511 with at least C-. Cross listing: (Same as BIOL 4512)
